SILENT RUNNING AUDIO, 1994. An audiophile company enters
the lists with a unique mix of interests and skills.
Merging these with a love of music and its faithful
reproduction, SRA created an R&D facility on Long
Island, New York, where initial experiments confirmed
that optimal component isolation yields cleaner musical
information—and without the expense of equipment
upgrades.
It was also determined that component-specific design
achieves optimal sonic accuracy and purity.
Impelled by these findings, SRA pooled its knowledge
of electronics, acoustics, materials application and
industrial design with technologies from the defense,
aerospace and chemical-coating industries. The result:
Silent Running Audio's isoBASE product line.
